Frequently Asked Questions
When is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is at 4 PM and check-out is at 10 AM at most homes. Rolling in early, or hoping for one last slow coffee on the porch? Just ask: when the calendar allows it, early check-in and late checkout can usually be added to your stay, and your door code arrives before you do.
Do you allow pets?
We love them, but no. Our homes are pet-free. It’s how we keep every arrival truly fresh for the next family, guests with allergies included. Thanks for understanding (and give your pup a scratch from us).
Are linens and towels included?
Yes, and not the scratchy kind. Every home is fully stocked: fresh linens on every bed, bath towels and beach towels, and a kitchen with the essentials covered, coffee and spices included. We stock each house the way we’d want it if we were the ones pulling up after a three-hour drive. Bring your clothes and your people; the rest is already there.
Is there an age requirement to book?
Yes. The booking guest must meet the minimum age on the listing (most of our homes are 25 or 30 and up) and stay for the full reservation. Our houses live on real streets with real neighbors, and this is one of the ways we make sure they’re as welcome next summer as they are this one.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Full refund more than 30 days out, half back more than 14 days out, non-refundable inside 14 days. Your home’s exact policy is shown before you confirm, in plain English, with no fine print to decode after you book.
Why is there a security hold?
Same reason hotels do it: a temporary hold confirms the card is real. It’s not a charge, and it releases automatically after a damage-free stay, which is nearly all of them. Treat the house like yours and you’ll never notice it happened.
Do you allow parties or events?
No, and we mean it kindly but firmly. Our homes sit on quiet streets in real neighborhoods, next to people who wave hello. Occupancy limits are firm and the no-party rule is non-negotiable. Family dinners, birthday cakes, a crowded porch at sunset? Absolutely. A party? Different house, different company.
